My Role: Graphic/Website Designer
Problem: Indie Untangled, a yarn Ecommerce store that connects indie yarn dyers with knitters, needed to improve the color contrast on their website to meet WCAG guidelines.Solution: I developed a custom color palette to greatly improve the color contrast and created hand-drawn icons to give the brand a lively and creative feel. I then applied the new colors and icons to a redesign of the blog and marketplace webpages, as well as postcards and a MailChimp email template.
Result: After improving the website's color contrast and adding custom hand-drawn icons, Indie Untangled's website accessibility was greatly enhanced. This resulted in an improved user experience and increased engagement with the website, leading to higher customer satisfaction.
